Merger Announcement November 2008
Just Think is very proud to announce our merger with One Economy Corporation. One Economy Corporation is a global non-profit that uses innovative approaches to deliver the power of technology to low-income communities, connecting them to valuable tools for building better lives and entering the economic mainstream.
Just Think’s Elana Yonah is awarded the Jefferson Award by CBS 5 in San Francisco for her ongoing work with Media Literacy Education.

New Course with SFSU
Ignite Your Mind is an interactive media literacy education course for teachers and community workers incorporating production and critical thinking. You will examine a range of issues regarding youth, schools and the media. Through hands-on participation, an online learning circle and your personal project you will earn 1.8 CEUs through San Francisco State. Just Think at NCTE
Ignite Your Mind media literacy workshop with educators from across the country at the National Council of Teachers of English 2008 Convention in San Antonio, TX. Elana Rosen, Arthur Grau and teacher Beverly Mann will explore activities from MEAL and beyond in this interactive media production and literacy workshop on Monday, November 24th. You will receive real tools to integrate standards-based, strong-sense critical thinking into your daily work.

Get Paid To be Photographed
We are still looking for East Asian participants to get paid to have your picture taken in the final phase of the Golden-Eye-Reduction photo research we are doing with Tessera. If you are Japanese or Korean, fill out this survey. We will hold the initial screening in two hour blocks on a Saturday in January. If you are selected, we will schedule you for the photo project to return Monday – Friday, for two hours each day at a time convenient to you, for the following two weeks. We will again hold the initial screening all day on a Saturday in January. We will schedule all those selected for the photo project to return Monday – Friday, every day for two hours at a time convenient to them. for the following two weeks and we will contact you for a phone or online interview. If you have already applied, thank you, and we will be contacting you as well. Families and friends are encouraged to apply.
